Privacy Policy

Last updated 8 July 2026

Mymir helps you understand your nutrition and habits. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices — kept short and honest.

What we collect

  • Account. Your email address, and — if you use them — your Apple or Google sign-in identifier. Your password is stored only as a salted hash.
  • What you log. Meals you enter by photo, barcode, or chat; the macros and health scores derived from them; your goals and preferences.
  • Apple Health (optional). If you grant permission, we read steps, active energy, workouts and sleep to tune the day's advice. You can deny or revoke this any time in iOS Settings; the app works without it. We never write to Apple Health, and never share Health data with third parties for advertising.
  • Basic usage events. App opens and screen views, to improve the app.

How we use it

To run the app's features — logging, scoring, coaching, insights, reminders — and to personalise your coaching to your own history. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to track you across other companies' apps or for third-party advertising.

Who processes data for us

  • Anthropic / OpenAI — generate coaching text from your food and message content; not used to train on your identity.
  • RevenueCat — manages subscription status.
  • Supabase — our database host.
  • Resend — sends account emails such as password-reset codes.
  • Sentry — collects anonymised crash and performance diagnostics to keep the app stable.

These providers process data only to deliver Mymir's service.

Your choices

  • Edit or delete meals any time in the app.
  • Revoke Apple Health access in iOS Settings.
  • Delete your account (Profile → Account) — this removes your data.
  • Contact us to request a copy or deletion of your data.

Data retention & security

We keep your data while your account is active. Data is encrypted in transit; access is restricted to running the service.

Children

Mymir is not directed at children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your country) and we do not knowingly collect their data.
